Roper Mountain Science Center

Our students had a blast today at Roper Mountain. The 4th graders explored the solar system through Universe in a Day. The 5th graders learned about separating mixtures and coding robots in their two sessions A Challenging Mixture and Explorabotics.

Informational Magazine Articles

The students have been working hard on their informational text magazine articles. Our fourth graders researched a plant or animal and our fifth graders researched an ecosystem. After they finished their articles the students paired up with one another by cluster groups to create a collaborated magazine. Here is a sneak peek at a few of their magazine covers.

Happy New Year


Happy New Year!
The students are back at school and are ready to rock 2018. They are using the 7 Habits to set goals for themselves, both personal and academic. They are also taking some time this week to reflect on their leadership skills. Take a few minutes to see what your student thinks about their implementation of the 7 Habits in their lives.


Here is a look at what some of our students are working on in science. Our 4th graders are currently tracking the growth of a variety of seeds grown in different variables. The students are very proud of their sprouts!
