In honor of Black History Month, Upper Montessori decided to showcase poems by an American write and activist Langston Hughes. The students are very proud of their hard work and hope that you enjoy their videos. Please click on the links below.

Wildly Important Goals
We have been working on setting goals this month and are excited to share our progress. Each student has set there own personal goals. Our grade level WIG is to get the students reading a variety of genres. The students have been doing a great job reading and are branching out in the books they select. Links are added to our chains daily. Also, Operation Bedroll is going very well. The students are now tracking the number of plarn balls that are made. Our goal is to make 100 (5 inch) plarn balls by the end of the year. We also have a group of staff members who are helping us crochet our very first mat. Everyone is very excited about the progress that we are making both academically and personally.
